Confirmed World Youth Day dates

At the Angelus on 3 August 2025, Pope Leo XIV announced World Youth Day in Seoul for 3–8 August 2027 and invited young people from around the world.[10]

Our preparation goal

With Seoul 2027 as an occasion for encounter, Sabujak aims to share Korean martyr history and local life with the world’s youth. Jinsan, Wanju and Jeonju invite a journey of faith, peace and shared dignity.

An encounter with truth, love and peace

Young visitors to Korea encounter truth, love and peace through culture, spirituality and history. Sabujak invites them to share local stories and the memory of faith.[17]

Small ways to practise peace

Greet someone in another language, listen to their story, wait for a slower companion and respect local life. These are suggested ways to make pilgrimage a practice of peace.

From the world to Korea

Plan transport, accommodation and rest between Seoul and Jinsan, Wanju and Jeonju. Check local programme guidance for transport, interpretation and participation before visiting.
