Sabujak: small steps, deeper meaning

A journey linking Korean Catholic memory, nature, villages and encounters today.

AI-created image · a creative interpretation of history and landscape

Why create this trail?

Sabujak connects historic places in Jinsan, Wanju and Jeonju in memory of Yun Ji-chung and Kwon Sang-yeon. With Seoul 2027 as an occasion for encounter, the trail shares Korean martyr history and the value of peace with young people worldwide.[12]

From faith to encounter

The martyrs’ lives invite reflection on faith, conscience and human dignity. Visitors of diverse cultures and beliefs can discover their stories and reflect on one another’s lives.

What walking slowly means

Walking slowly gives time to notice your surroundings and listen to companions. Choose a stage suited to your fitness and the terrain, with time for transport and rest.
